Ko Olina Resort

Resort & Residential: Ko Olina Resort & Marina, Oahu, Hawaii

Ko Olina Resort & Marina, whose evocative name means "a place of joy," is a 642-acre gated resort community on the state of Hawaii's island of Oahu. Designed to accommodate four- and five-star resort hotels, residential, commercial and recreational uses, the resort has a fully approved master plan and entitlements for 5,200 residential units and 4,000 resort or hotel lodging units.

Historically Oahu's premier retreat for Hawaiian royalty, Ko Olina features a unique coastline with white sand beaches and four beachfront swimming lagoons that emulate royal fish ponds, and a classic Hawaii ambiance that is unequalled throughout the state.

Located on West Honolulu's sunny Leeward Coast alongside the Waianae mountain range, within 30 minutes of Honolulu International Airport and downtown Honolulu, TRG, as master developer, imbued it with innovation, energy and vitality as Oahu's first active family resort destination.

The addition of the state's largest private marina, world-class golf and sports facilities, wedding chapels, shopping and retail centers, and luxury vacation residences, including the first new beachfront community on Oahu in 25 years, enhanced the resort's appeal with something for every age and interest.

The growth of Ko Olina attracted numerous national and international investors, including Marriott International (JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts and Marriott Vacation Club) and Walt Disney Resorts. Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, with 350 hotel rooms and 480 Disney Vacation Club vacation homes, is taking shape as a Hawaiian-style family luxury resort on 21 acres. The company's first Hawaii development and its first non-theme park destination, is scheduled to open in 2011.

Ko Olina is a thriving place for visitors, residents and employees. Dynamic population growth in the surrounding region provides numerous leisure, shopping, and recreational amenities, including a wide choice of public and private golf courses.
